Back Pain: Who Should You Listen To?

December 16th, 2007 · No Comments

If you have a back, I'd be willing to bet you either suffer from back pain or know someone who does. And no, I'm not psychic. Approximately 85% of people suffer from back pain at some point in their life. But no one really seems to know what to do about it. So-called cures abound., and everyone seems to have a solution. I'm sure your Uncle Sal, your mom, or your bff all have their favorite therapist, herb, or treatment.

But back pain is a complex issue. Your pain could be anything from an occasional twinge to the long-term, debilitating, severe, chronic stuff. And the cause could be stress-related or much more serious.

Where do you turn? Google searches turn up hundreds of thousands of hits, all touting the next great product, the latest this or that. Who should you listen to?

It's tempting to say, "Me, me!" Well, sure. Uh, no, though. Don't listen to me or anyone else, that is, without first listening to yourself or your trusted professional advisors. There's so much noise and kerfuffle out there that it's easy to get taken in by the promise of a quick cure.

I'm going to point you in the direction of what I think are some great remedies, solutions and products and give you my honest opinion of them, based on my research and professional experience. Here's the deal, though. They won't all be ideal for you or for your condition. Pain can make people desperate. I know. But I'll try to help you cut through the noise and fog.
